Harris Corporation Introduces New Standards in Digital Signage Networking at Global Gaming Expo

Harris(r) InfoCaster Digital Signage™ Solutions Address Challenges of Managing Large, Complex Presentation Networks in Casinos and Resorts

LAS VEGAS, November 13, 2007 (G2E, Booth #2990) — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, will feature new standards for digital signage networks within casino and resort environments with the introduction of InfoCaster Digital Signage™ solutions for casinos at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), being held November 13-15 in Las Vegas. Harris offers end-to-end digital signage solutions that are deployable across the enterprise network and incorporate some of the highest-quality broadcast video technology in the industry.

"InfoCaster Digital Signage™ solutions allow our sales force to offer our casino and resort customers a uniquely powerful and comprehensive digital media network," said Carlos Gonzalez, president of Island Systems & Design, a Florida-based systems integrator that specializes in the casino market. "Having a dedicated team of experts from one of the world's leading communications companies behind every high-performance solution provides our customers with added ease and confidence."

InfoCaster Digital Signage™ solutions integrate with existing infrastructure systems and enable easy acquisition, creation, scheduling and synchronizing of content from multiple sources to multiple locations. For casinos and resorts, content is customized to enhance the guest experience at various venues such as food and beverage areas, convention spaces and lobbies, retail shops and gaming areas. Advanced management and monitoring tools give users unprecedented flexibility and control over the entire network.

To address customer concerns regarding the costs associated with implementing a large digital media network, Harris offers financing plans through Harris Finance — a program that enables buyers to amortize their investment in Harris technology and services over an extended period of time. Harris Finance plans are based on customized financial models that fit revenue dynamics, and are designed to maximize a company's investment by allowing for future upgrades and expansion of the digital signage system.

InfoCaster Digital Signage™ solutions for casinos offer many competitive capabilities:

  • Jackpot Intelligence — Integrated with the latest bonusing solutions; persistent jackpot and progressives displayed on multiple screens throughout the facility simultaneously with other messages and video; jackpots can automatically display above a certain value.
  • DataIP — Individual players can be set to display different information from the same data source. Layout templates containing multiple regions can be branded identically, but pre-set to automatically update content appropriate to its location.
  • Multimedia Triggers — External applications and devices can easily integrate into the triggering architecture, allowing players to trigger a/v switchers, fog machines, fireworks, etc.
  • Property Map Player View — The ability to drag and drop players to a campus map and view player status.
  • ControlTrack — Create/edit content and schedules via quick editors and add graphics or clips manually, region by region.
  • AutoLink with Schedule Manager — New ODBC-connected graphics, broadcast-quality animations, rolls, and crawls can be automatically created on the Player without operator intervention.
  • CrossLink — Links content together to playback at the same time.
  • RunSelect — Content can be triggered by operator, automation, or jackpot controller that supports GPO.
  • DelphiGraphicsPlus — An InfoCaster™ add-on to the Delphi database that allows additional data and graphics to be associated with their event records.
  • Way-finding and Directional Maps — Touch screen interaction and GPI recognition, conditional playback functionality, and emergency way-finding capabilities.
